GitHub Sponsors

I started a GitHub sponsors, a support service run by Github.

https://github.com/sponsors/ttrace

The tires are $1 per month and one-shot support of $5 per month. Of cource you can pay up more(or less?), and I have already received support from three people. Those who support us will be listed in the README of novel-writer repository on GitHub account.

All support will be used to buy the coffee beans needed for development and to pay for a Windows PC that is not in regular use.

Starting with paragraph colouring, fiction writing plug-in novel-writer has become a big piece of software in three years. Vertical previews now support horizontal writing, morphological analysis is used to colour-code parts of speech, you can now switch between ‘ta’ and ‘ru’ at the end of sentences, and you can now swap the order of files by drag-and-drop. I should have only created functions as needed, but with so many more functions, there are more and more things I can’t touch. we have rarely tested it on Windows or Linux, but when I need to, I also use a virtual environment to check it. The reason I have started sponsorship is to keep maintaining such functions in a fun way.

I made my debut in e-book self-publishing, but commercial publishing is not exactly a growth industry either, so I’m planning to get more active in light publishing and NOTES… GitHub sponsorship is the first step in that direction.

I hope you will support me as much as you would buy me a cup of coffee when you think of it.
